Arriving at the convention!
All of the friends, but especially the local ones, greeted us with big hugs and gifts. Many Dutch students are taught English, so we could communicate fairly easily. But even when that wasn't the case, love is universally understood!
We really enjoyed handing out our "Listen, obey and be blessed" stickers to the kids we met
Ha!
Some of the traditional outfits we saw were so intricate! It was really interesting to find out what part of the world our friends were visiting from and what the ministry is like there.
Lots of wooden shoes, of course!
We had fun getting to know this group of friends a little bit. Next to Leila are Max and his fiancée Phoebe. They gave the sweetest gift- a package that included a little notebook with a project inside. Each day, a spot to write grateful thoughts...
Our hotel was just a five minute walk from the convention site, with lots of yummy restaurants along the way
Trying kassoufle
And fish and chips (fries) which they eat with sweet mayonnaise
