Brennon, Joslyn, Macy & Beckett
A great weekend!
Friday morning, coffee & snuggles
Being "baby Moses"
Beckett requested that we make cookies. His first task was to measure out the flour, which soon turned into playing in flour :)
After a bit of cleanup, we got down to business
The cookie making process got a little "creative" ...
Soon, Macy was mixing in more raspberry jam than dough into her cookies, and adding lots of extra flour and water. Beckett successfully cut out a couple of teddy bear cookies, but the rest of his concoctions never quite made it to the baking sheet.
The cookies we did stick in the oven were of all different sizes and thicknesses - even some were double layered "tarts."
Joslyn and I were both pleasantly surprised when they, somehow, turned out really well, despite all of our experimentation. Now we have a no-fail, kid-friendly sugar cookie recipe on hand!
Friday evening, we enjoyed the company of some of the Slones (the rest of the family was home sick.) It was really nice for them to get to know some of our family!
Saturday morning, piled into the van for service
Visiting Henry. He didn't have any chickens running around, but his dog Butterball was in love with Macy. Henry was pretty smitten with Macy, too. She gave him a hug before we left, which he said made his whole week!
Stopping to check out some "diggers"
We had a really nice return visit over in Pound
We went over Pine Mountain, and stopped at the top to check out the view
Our last call was a visit to the Everidges.
Macy and Beckett enjoyed meeting the kids and animals! Jenga the bunny even made an appearance.
Layla the puppy let Macy hold her as much as she wanted to
On Sunday, the meeting was cancelled because of the weather. We had a nice morning watching Full House, having breakfast, and just spending our last few hours together.
Playing in the snow
One last game before it's time to go
The sweetest little loves!
