Thursday evening, unplanned coordination
I was in our post office recently and got to chatting with Penny, who is almost always behind the counter. She saw some baby booties I'd knitted and told me how she'd been making "messy bun" hats. When I stopped in Saturday, she said, "I'm glad you came back in, I made something for you," and pulled out this beautiful hat!
I pulled in to the pharmacy and was a little leary of the police car sitting outside. There was recently an incident there, so I thought I'd wait a minute to see if anything was going on. Very soon after, an employee came out and handed a bag of Funyuns and a Red Bull to the cop through his window. :)
The Brattons visited our congregation Sunday. Skylar's talk was excellent. The theme, about walking with God, was so nice for the five visitors from the territory.
Sunday afternoon,
a little housewarming party for Paris
Finishing off the pudding
The finalists in a game of H-O-R-S-E
Later in the evening,
the congregation got together
at the rec center for more basketball
at the rec center for more basketball
And for the second Sunday in a row,
Dairy Queen ran out of ice cream.
So a little deal was worked out for a sizable discount on an ice cream cake from the cooler.
