Last week, we had the opportunity to work with
two(!) different groups visiting unassigned territory.

The first group was from Florida and worked in Letcher county

The second group was from northern Kentucky and worked in neighboring Pike county.
The group was led by our friends, John and Elysia Andrews.

They hiked up the mountain and found a nice call

Friday evening, we hosted a big picnic at Fish Pond Lake for both groups

Lauren and her mom, Pean

Raleigh Andrews, Sean, Adrian, Luis, and Juwan

Elena has a few really sweet Bible students in the local nursing home

Over the weekend, our congregation set up a booth at the
Mountain Heritage Festival in Whitesburg.
We had shifts of friends at the booth from early in the morning to late in the evening,
placed a lot of literature, and even started studies!

In the booth next to ours, a Presbyterian minister offered literature of his own.
On the second day of the festival, he added a sign to his display (pointed out with the arrow.)
It read, "Are Jehovah's Witnesses Christian?"
We think it may have sparked curiosity.
At the very least, it contrasted our positive message, display and demeanor.
Addison was able to have a nice long discussion with the minister,
and we made sure that our Jesus books were front and center on the carts.
