The past couple of weeks have been busy . . . here are some bits & pieces of what we've been up to:
Last week, Addison was at Elder's School in North Carolina.
He came back with a lot of great ideas he'd like to implement in the congregation, our family and the ministry.
He also had some hilarious stories!
Richie and Vinnie were in the class, too, and they all stayed at the same hotel.
Our friend Phillip was also in the class.
He used to be in the Clinchco congregation.
Addison is so glad to have had the opportunity to attend the school; he said it was an awesome experience!
I took this picture when we pulled up to our new dentist's office.
It was in a trailer! In Kentucky! We made quite a few jokes about that . . .
But he ended up being a really nice dentist and we won't hesitate to go back.
We were doing some calls on Saturday morning when the weather suddenly turned . . .
It's been so snowy & cold here, it's been hard to keep up our regular field service schedule.
A couple of weekends ago, Patrick Joyce gave the Sunday talk at Jenkins.
His place in Hoot Owl Holler is a good distance away, so he stayed with us Saturday night.
If you know Addison, you can imagine the detail with which he is explaining the beer options to Patrick :)
Sunday morning, pancake breakfast
After the meeting, we had lunch at the Bernards'. Patrick had to try out the swing.
One of Candace's calls.
As you can easily imagine, the old woman who lives here also collects cats . . .
Poor Enzo got an infection and was at the vet for almost a week.
We're glad he's home!
(This is his favorite sleeping position, which always makes us laugh.)
Monday's service group
The sunset over Pound Mountain.
It was gorgeous!
