Friday evening we were at the Jesseys for our regular dinner & a movie.
They always make me a cup of tea, but this tea time was especially fancy!
Our friend Ryan McDowell officially moved to Jenkins last week.
It is great to have another pioneer/ministerial servant,
not to mention an all-around fun guy for our Jenkins adventures!
Saturday morning the four of us went out early.
While doing calls, we ended up in a ditch . . .
we were mostly stuck because the rain had made everything so muddy.
But we were out in no time, and the car was fine.
Lunchtime
Afternoon service. They were knocked out.
(Ryan was chewing on a piece of plastic before he fell asleep, he's not actually drooling blue)
On Monday and Wednesday evenings, Ryan teaches a hip hop dance class at the rec center.
Wednesday evening was his first class, and it was super fun!
I'm so glad we three went ... being a brand new class, there was just one other girl there.
Fast forward to Monday night, and apparently word had gotten out! The class was like 5 times bigger!
On Sunday, we went to Grundy, VA for Addison's talk.
He got really animated . . .
just kidding, this was before the meeting.
With our friend Fred Ninger, a graduate from Ministerial Training School
After the meeting, we had such a nice lunch there at the hall.
Our friend Patrick Joyce (in the striped shirt) goes to Grundy, too.
It was fun to catch up with him.
We met these four super sweet sisters -
Julia, Ashley, Jacqueline and Abigail.
After lunch we hung out at Katie & Richie's
We visited with Sister Polly during service on Monday.
We always tell her how much we love her chicken & dumplings; they truly are the best we've ever tasted.
So she surprised us with a big country meal.
It may have been 3:00 in the afternoon, but we found our appetites.
We also went on a Bible study on Monday, then headed out in the rain to see their pigs.
This one is Sassy (she is appropriately named) . . .
and this one is Red.
At a roadside fruit market in the territory.
And finally, the new sign we noticed at Brother Collins house.
He actually has two wolves . . .
