The Taylors visited this weekend, and we had such a great time with them!
When they got in Friday afternoon, we headed to Carr Creek Lake for a congregation picnic.
Jerry brought one of his wolves
Matching shirts!
Horseshoes
AJ and Olivia measured for points after every round
Look at that form!
Julian and Cherie, Amber's parents, are visiting for a couple of weeks
On the ripstick
That night we played Bubble Talk, which was hilarious!
We liked the game so much that they left it for us, which was super generous!
All ready for bed!
Saturday
On the way to field service, Jamie rescued a little turtle in the road
Then we saw this huge guy on the way to the territory
Kylie tried to help him out of the road, but he kept snapping at her
So AJ slowly coaxed him along
In the territory that morning, Addison started a record four Bible studies!
We plan to head back early this week to follow up.
After service, a group of us went on a hike at Little Stony Falls
After the hike we hung out at the Bernards'
Olivia and I each made a crockpot of pulled pork,
which Addison topped with slaw
Addi made Ky a "custom s'more" by warming up her chocolate bar in the fire
But it had basically melted so it oozed out and got crazy messy
Sunday
At the meeting
Reda and Eloise invited us to stay for lunch afterward.
They had hospitality for Brother Maturino from the Woodland Heights congregation.
Then we drove to the top of Pine Mountain to see the view
"Let's see how far we can throw these rocks"
On their last night we had lasagna and played games.
This was Hedbanz.
We may look ridiculous but it's super fun!
Then, the game, as we like to call it.
The Taylors put this Bible Stories board game together before we moved from Ohio.
We were the first to play it with them and help "test it out."
It has evolved a little over the past couple years so it was really fun to play again.
We even helped come up with some new questions to add later.
Doesn't it look awesome?
Here, AJ is listing the 10 plagues in order. From memory!
Seriously, Addison and I couldn't do that!
We had such a blast during their visit,
and the friends here really enjoyed their company, too.
We can't wait until they come back again!
