The view from our room in Venice

Addison and another local artist, Lacy Hall, were gifted grants to attend the Venice Biennale, an international art exhibition held every two years.
As part of the grant, we toured a number of museums in addition to the Biennale.

The Peggy Guggenheim Collection
Picasso

Peggy Guggenheim’s earrings by Yves Tanguy

Addi’s favorite, Magritte
Empire of Light

The Palazzo Grassi was my favorite museum

We also toured Gallerie dell’Accademia, where Michalangelo’s David is.

The entrance to the Biennale’s Giardini venue.
Some of the art was really interesting and beautiful.

After Venice, we went to Athens for a few days.
A highlight of the trip was visiting with Jeremy and Shannon, who subbed for our circuit almost 15 years ago. They attended Gilead and are serving at Greece Bethel.

The branch there is small but the tour was great!

Our last adventure was touring the ruins at Acropolis.
This is the Odeon of Herodes Atticus.
They still have concerts here!
